I liked it. Although I would have preferred to see the game won in regulation time.

But we've lost a lot of players on defense to injury, which makes our 4th quarter defense problematic, to say the least.
04-cheers

RE: Nice win over TCU!
Years like this happen when a team is composed of players who have never played together before. The majority of the players on the field for WVU on both sides of the ball have come to Morgantown in the past 2 years. The team should be composed of mostly junior and senior leaders, with a few newcomers breaking into the starting lineup after a couple of years in the system. But the upperclassmen for the most part aren't there any longer. So it's the newcomers who are leading the way, with very few upperclassmen helping them learn how to play within the system.

If Holgorsen is given a chance to build up the team with his players, we'll be just fine. But if the negative nancy's within the fanbase have their way, we'll be back to square one, with a new AD, a new head coach, and a bunch of players who aren't there any longer. I often dispair when I look at what's going on in Morgantown. It seems that sanity among Mountaineer fans - the vocal ones, at least - is in very short supply.

What are the odds that luck leaves?

Pretty good, I'd guess. But who really knows what's in his mind, or the minds of those choosing the next AD at Texas? They could decide to go another route. Or they could decide to hire him, and announce just after the WVU-Texas game.

At least we do have some good news. Texas' starting QB is out for the game. That gives me some hope.

Isn't that the truth, look how the Big 12 & Texas chased Louisville, then changed their time table and took TCU and West Virginia. You never know what those guys will decide to do. If Luck does go maybe he will get Central Florida and Cincinnati add for you.

Luck has pushed ECU over both UCF and UC, Wilkie. They have the most history with WVU, and by far the largest fanbase by attendance average.

Well, Texas is hiring Patterson as AD. So Luck is your AD still. Has he burnt any bridges at West Virginia, I hear he start planning an exit party yesterday. I just want to hear your insight,

The only bridges he burnt were burnt when he decided to hire Holgorsen to replace Stew. The rest never thought him trying to better himself was a bad thing. It's today's world, not yesterday's.

At least that's how I see it. Most of the folks I've talked to are pleased as punch that he's sticking around.
