big winner today
I think a big winner today is actually Notre Dame. With Army losing, it makes it almost certain they won't be bowl eligible. That would guarantee that there would be at least 1 at large spot for the bowls and that would be Notre Dame(if they don't make the BCS). That would get them in the Poinsettia Bowl- against potentially Boise State.

My hunch for ND it's either that or the Pinstripe Bowl vs a AAC school replacing the Big 12. That'll be close- depending on if Kansas St and West Virginia can get bowl eligible(both should)- and if the Big 12 gets only 1 team in the BCS(very possible as well).

And at 7-2, what if they win out?

Pitt
Bye week
BYU
Stanford

I don't think that they will, but it cannot be excluded at this time. IF so, can they get to BCS #14 (BCS eligible)?

ND is 19-3 (Alabama, Oklahoma, Michigan) the past two seasons. So, the track record is there to finish well.

They are pretty banged up right now, especially on defense, after playing two option (cut block) teams in a row.

If they can get past Pitt and heal up a bit, they may be favored at home against a pretty good BYU team.

Stanford? That will be a tough challenge, especially in Palo Alto.
