You have something to build around in Mullins at QB. Good luck with the rest of your season USM. I hope you get things straightened out soon.

I just want to know what the "you-know-what" happened to Duggan. He used to be able to coach defense.. I dont care how young our team is, this is there straight games where we've given up 50+ points. Once I could understand.. but THREE times in a row?

it doesn't look like coaching. with, say, bradford, we had the athletes, we were just constantly doing dumb stuff. this season, we're a step or two slower, or a kid got pancaked, or some such.

the scores are incredibly embarrassing, though. you are right about that.

imagine it from our point of view. "stop it, or we will crap on your dick" just isn't scaring anyone. and that's the best we've got right now.

Disagree in part guys.. somewhere in there is some coaching. The "loft TD" (I think it was Cato's last TD.), the LB didnt' go with the receiver and the safety moved "up" when there was nobody coming over the middle of the field.

Their last TD pass, even i could see the rub play coming to open the slot, and both defensive players went with the Slot reciever to the outside.

If we were just getting beat by getting beat up.. I could say "okay". But there were a LOT of bad coaching results today on defense in addition to some not-ready players.

LOL. I guess we all saw that one. I threw my remote at the TV on that play. just like my southern miss football brethren, I missed. and it's a really big TV.

anyway, I don't disagree. not really. the suck is so loud right now, though, that it really is a "chicken or the egg" proposition.

I think we WERE playing our #3 center for a while...

Like I said, I've willing to cut the coaches some slack, with the youth and injuries, but Duggan has been disappointing, particularly with what we saw too often today.

the injury bug is a question worth discussing -- if only because virtually nothing else is.

is the injury bug bad conditioning, or bad past conditioning, or is it the result of playing ark, BS, and Neb back-to-back-to-back . . . or is it just a fluke?

I can't tell from halfway across the country.

IMO, its from bad past conditioning, considering we lost a few players even before the season started.
