Another tough conference loss for USA, that makes 3 games by a total of 4 points. ASU was fortunate to pull this one out. Such is life in the SBC.

Kennedy morphed into Ryan Aplin.

And our kicker is still perfect on the year after a 50 yard FG in a crucial, crucial spot. Defense played its best game of the season.

I'll take it. On to Monroe.

I'm gonna be in Monroe to watch us beat that arse!

Dude, that was some butt ugly football you guys played tonight. Hope ASU plays better in Monroe or Browning will beat you.04-rock

He's being facetious. After that ugly, ugly first half, I'll take any win we can get.

Any win is a good win. Should be a good one in Monroe next week. I too feel sorry for USA. We had one of those years where the difference between 4-8 and 8-4 (if I remember correctly) was 12 points. As Phil Steele projects, the luck usually turns the next year to a big year.

USA has 4 separate one point losses this year, and their 5th was a 7 point loss to Tennessee when they couldn't punch it in on first and goal with 2 minutes left.

They lost to Southern Utah on a last second FG
They lost to Tennessee on a failed 4th down and goal play
They lost to Troy on a hail mary
They lost to Texas State on a last second FG
They lost to Arkansas State despite having the ball down 1 twice in the last 7 minutes.

That is some insane bad luck.

We should win the "almost" national championship.

We are patient this year. Next year Coach Jones will be in trouble if this continues.

We expect to win. That's good. We shouldn't make excuses when we lose.

Congrats to Ark State.

Of Course not, but when I see ASU fans saying that they don't know how you lost to UL in the New Mexico game thread after your play in this game...I have to laugh my azz off. Really?03-nutkick

Well to be fair, if you had played like that defensively against us, it might have been a different game.

We know how we lost...but we don't know why we played so poorly. That's what bothers us.

The Jags deserve a purple heart or something. I don't recall a team almost win so many games. With time you will turn it around.

Yea, the Coach Jones' seat should be getting a bit warm. I get that we're not Ga State or WKU (teams that crapped the bed when they jumped up) but there still appear to be problems with execution at USA
