Beautiful pass from Roback to Creel for Brogan's 1st career TD.

He looked very good on that drive. Glad he's getting some PT.

At least we stopped them from scoring a TD..

Brumfield is looking good, Brogan is looking good, Creel is looking great. The OL is blocking and the defense seem to be playing better..

I'd say I hate Ron English...but it's not his fault. He's from the UM tree. All of their coaches are the suck. Did y'all see MSU-UM? Hoke's staff couldn't coach themselves out of a paper bag. We just replicate their failed philosophy at EMU.

I knew the Eagles wouldn't be able to put 21 points on the scoreboard. I know...the game isn't over yet. 1-8, here we come!

Brady Hoke went 12-1 at Ball State. Yeah, he is a real terrible coach.

Btw, Mark Dantonio went 6-7 in his third season. I guess he is a horrible coach too.

Save it.

All those resources and talent at UM, and they piss it away because they're mentally stuck in the 70s.

I honestly have no idea why any recruit would want to play in such boring, vanilla, ineffective schemes.

Michigan’s OL is horrible. That is why they lost. When he had time Gardner and his WR’s were making plays.Alas, that bad OL was exposed by a ferocious front seven. Your criticism makes no sense in light of this. Old time football was not the blame. Bad offensive line play was. If you have no OL no scheme will work. It’s that simple.

Michigan was whipped by a better team that had better players and coaches.

Which should never be the case given Michigan's resources and history. If that isn't a coaching issue, what is it?

There are a couple issues. For starters, Michigan is still recovering from the RichRod era. RR had a recruiting class that had ONE OL in it. That’s insane. Then there is his God awful defensive recruiting. UM is paying for that now with lots of youth and lesser talented players playing.

Secondly, UM’s OL coach sucks. This happens. Sometimes big name schools get coaches who are terrible. MSU for example had Dan Roushar who was an horrendous OC.

Just because you have resources that does not mean you are immune from hiring poor coaches or coaches who are out of their depth, which is the case with Funk at UM. Funk coached with Hoke at SDSU and seemingly did an okay job. Here not so much.

I still think Hoke is a good coach. His track record at Ball State and SDSU tells me that he is. But he is going to have to do what John Beilein did after JB’s terrible third season and reevaluate his assistants. Clearly the job isn’t getting done to the standards Michigan football has set. UM, as you rightly noted, has too much resources and talent to be so poor on the offensive line.

The game today was an embarrassment and hopefully a wakeup call for Hoke.

I like you Dave, but what would you suggest we talk about regarding
EMU football? Is there anything left to say?

Exactly! I don't care about the University of Michigan or Michigan State University! For goodness sake, this is the Eastern Michigan University forum!

I like you HolyBovine and I like Dave and I have to agree with Dave. You're right. It's probably time to close the book on discussing the football season. I really feel the last thing we should be doing is discussing the U-M or MSU football programs here. They have their own boards. And, it only shed light on the fact that our football program is so poor. That being - our program sucks so badly thatwe talk about the Wolverines and the Spartans.

Ain't nothing to see here folks!

You probably could have just gone with EMU's soccer team. I don't think there is a men's team or is there? We could discuss anything but the abyssmal football program.

Do you remember the movie Bambi? If so, do you remember what Thumper's mom said to him? She said, "If you can't say sumthin' nice don't say nuthin' at all." I think we are way past that point with this football season. It really is time to move on. Go to the Michigan or Michigan State board and have a good time. Let's stick to Eastern Michigan University athletics here.

The Eagles ain't going to score 21 unless something miraculous happens.

I'm going to say UT 52 - EMU 12.
