Haha. I think they're rendition is pretty ugly; BUT, I'm pretty sure UNC-CHeat used the outline of the state with a logo at centerfield a few decades ago. Not to mention others do it, as well (Indiana, Ohio State, Illinois, etc.). Yours is better looking, though.

All they had was the black dot in the state outline where Chapel Hill is. ECU put the badass Jolly Roger on it. Not really a rip off as Indiana is the first I remember putting their state outline on their hoops court, in a plain mode with their initials on it. Then UNC did that and UK afterwards. But state's is just a blatant lame rip off as is App State's. I don't care if they do it, but they have no imagination it appears.

In '06 State had a little fun with ECU's entrance video in their own video and it didn't work out too well for them. Hopefully this is another game where State will be lowering the uprights with time on the clock and ECU in field goal range just like '06.

It's pretty bad in my opinion. The wolf logo looks too small and lost in all the empty red. If State wanted to do something kinda cool they need to use something like the face that's on the wall in the background of the picture.

I saw a sign on the way to work this morning in someone's front yard that said "This is our STATE" so I guess this is a part of that branding/slogan.

As I told my brother, an ECU alum and season ticket holder... hopefully PeeDee will go drop a deuce on it after you all beat them.

They definitely did have the state with the UNC logo in it when I was younger because I remember it making me angry, for some reason.

Pretty clear they liked the way ECU's looked and jumped on the ole bandwagon. ECU's is probably one of the best looking out there that I've seen. Of course, at some point ECU liked the way Indiana, UNC, etc., looked and jumped on it, too. Biggest difference is that ECU made theirs look really good and this just looks bad, IMO.

Honest to God this is absolutely pathetic. I'm pretty pissed off right now.

FWIW, the original idea came from ECU. Then New Era hats jumped on it and made them for a LOT of college teams (called Inner State Series). But this is a first (actually 2nd: ODU) where I've seen a school try to make a major logo out of the OBVIOUS rip off of the idea. The fact that it's an in-state rival AND they ripped off the "This is Our State" idea from our entrance makes them even more pathetic. Really, really sad.

Are they going to change colors to purple and gold and paint East Carolina in the endzones? That is a pretty bad from their marketing department.

If you are going to imitate our logo at least make it look good. NCSU's looks like a skunk and not a wolf. It just looks terrible.

State also stole "Our State" from Miss State. All they do is just copy everyone and present it as their own, Yow is such a joke.
