RE: ECU and the SEC
South Carolina fans I heard your AD said the 2020-2021 home and home were still a go. Is this correct? When does the SEC release the schedules for those yeas?

Considering the fact that we're scheduled to go there first, I figure we'll get word on that sometime around October 10th 2020 at 6:46pm.

Missouri seems like they are game lately? How bout it guys? 2 for 1? You'll get a chance to avenge your loss from 1983.

The conference opponents are already known, the only thing left to be determined are dates.

2020:

Home: Tennessee, Georgia, Texas A&M, Missouri
Away: Vandy, Kentucky, LSU, Florida
Non Conference: East Carolina, @Clemson

2021:

Home: Vandy, Kentucky, Florida, Miss St
Away: Tennessee, Georgia, Texas A&M, Missouri
Non Conference: Clemson, @ECU

Carolina like to play one road/neutral site out of conference every year, so that 2021 game is probably safe as long as we don't go out and schedule someone for a neutral site game.

Atlanta is already off the table and UNC is already booked for 2019 and 2023, so I doubt we'd schedule them again in Charlotte. NC State already has a game scheduled @ Miss St on 9/11/21 so they'd be off the table too. Short of getting UVA/Wake/Duke or someone else in Charlotte I don't see that game being cancelled.

UNC is lowering their stadium capacity to 51,000. In 2019 we will have a larger stadium then UNC (the so called flagship of NC). FYI this is no surprise no matter what UNC reports as "ticket sales" they have averaged around 30,000-45,000 fans a game.

We know. It's not greatly different at N.C. State.

Serious question: if the SEC were to be able to pick any school in North Carolina, why should the conference choose East Carolina over each of: North Carolina, North Carolina St, Duke, and Wake Forest?

If you are asking Sankey, it would rank UNC, Duke and NCSU. Regardless of what a few dedicated fans on forums might think, The SEC just isn’t going to make a SCAR level investment anymore. Even if the SEC wanted ECU, the WWL would be to the move as it has the potential to harm their ACC investment.
