NIU Travel Package (UMass) - Questions
I'm going to Boston this weekend for the game and have a Rental Car reserved on Saturday. Today, I came across the NIU Travel Package (Bus Only) from Boston to Foxboro including food and beverage and was intrigued. Now I'm thinking I might cancel my rental car for Saturday and go this route (even though it'd be a bit more expensive). Not to mention, since UMass plays at an off-campus location, alcohol is served in Gillette Stadium during the game (at least according to this).

Anyway, does anyone have any experience with the NIU Sports Travel plans? If so, do you typically get instructions (with departure times, where to meet - more than just at "Marriott Copley Place Hotel" - etc.) after purchase? Does food an beverage at the 'party' include alcohol (is it two drink minimum like the Alumni Assoc events)? How much time do you typically get at the pregame party?

Anyone insight for anyone who may have done one of these road events in the past would be great.

I've had good success with NIU's travel packages. Very highly recommend. That said, alcohol tends not to be included, though is available for puchase.

+1 same here very highly recommend the travel packages. They are well organized and worth the money if you can do it.

The 99 is the bus from the Hotel to the stadium and the tail gate. FYI. Rent a car would be cheaper. HSAF is usually around 30-50 for the reception, so 50-70 for a RT bus?

The OB package was better than I ever dreamed. Could not be one iota better. It was perfection exemplified.
