RE: Question for UAB fans
Legion Field is between 5th Ave north (Graymont Ave) and 8th Ave north (Bush Blvd) and is centered on 4th street which puts it about 17 blocks west away from the Tutwiler (on 21st). When you get west of 9th street, the "One way" streets become two-way with ample parking at the stadium for $8 per car. Our BlazerTalk tailgating group is on the 8th Ave (North) end of Legion Field near (just west of) the Blazer Village amusement area. Feel free to drop by and introduce yourself to new friends.

Is this sarcasm? I can't tell.

I thought for the most part we've been courteous and helpful.

Minus the standard derails, of course.

RE: Question for UAB fans
Well we have one poster giving directions based on his knowledge of the city circa 1970. We have another babbling about a hotel near the stadium, when that wasn't the question to begin with. I accidentally derailed because I mentioned Memphis food. The poster will have at most 5 or 6 meals, but got about 75 places he was told that he HAS to try before he leaves.

He should probably just pack some picnic baskets and stay in his hotel room.

I swear you are the biggest dick sometimes. Post deleted. Didn't realize after 2 pages he didn't have enough info.

The lesson should be to have fun posting info intended to be helpful to one who perhaps has never been to our city. Since our streets are generally numbered west to east and avenues from the RR tracks toward the north and the south, it is easier to find one's way around than in many cities where they are all named.

As with any restaurant's menu, there are many offerings even though you may only want to eat one meal. We gave him many good suggestions of places where we know from experience that the offered food will be good and good directions on how to find them. That's what friends are for.
