South Carolina beats Mizzou 27-24. Nobody from the SE

RE: SC beats Mizzou
Wasn't Mizzou up by a couple touchdowns late in the game? I see it went in double OT, Mizzou blew it big time.
Looked at the box score, Mizzou was up by 17 in the 4th, bad way to end NC hopes.

The only way the SEC might get two in the BCS now is if Auburn wins the SEC, and Auburn is Alabama's only loss. Auburn would head to the Sugar Bowl, and Alabama would probably be grabbed by the Orange Bowl should Florida State make the Championship Game.

South Carolina went from "eliminated from the SEC East race" to "likely to win the SEC East" rather quickly.

Auburn at 12-1 with a win over Alabama and then Missouri would be a major factor, probably the #1 1 loss team quite frankly.

I suspect an 11-2 Missouri with only tonight's loss and an SEC championship game loss would still get selected as an at large.

So, does South Carolina jump a couple of undefeated teams (potentially) in the rankings just because, you know, SEC?! The conference as a whole is criminally overrated, piggy-backing on Alabama's success.

And what conference would you place ahead of the SEC?
The ACC is Florida State and Miami and they play next week. The Big 12 is just Baylor now. The PAC is Oregon. The Big 10 is Ohio State. And the SEC is Alabama.
The 1 loss teams in each conference have tough games left too. Shoot in the Big 12 they all have to play each other before its over. The truth is until bowl season is concluded we won't have any idea whether the SEC is overrated or not. But then that goes for the rest of the conferences too. I can tell you one thing though, the Big 10 is Ohio State and not much after that. Maybe Sparty makes a run or maybe Michigan finally puts it together, but really there just isn't much there to mount a challenge to Ohio State. Until the bowls are played we'll have no idea if Ohio State is great or just above average. We won't know if the Ducks can score on a top defense until the Stanford game. We won't know if Alabama is the real deal until they face either Florida State or Oregon. And we might not ever know if any or all of those teams fall before second week of December. So until we all know something I'll take your remarks as just more SEC envy for the past 7 seasons. And as far as the Gamecocks are concerned they will not be passing any undefeated teams from the P5. I don't know if they will remain ahead of Norther Illinois or Fresno, but they won't be passing any of the others.

Right, so everyone else can put up massive numbers on no name teams but when Ohio State does it by scoring touchdowns with TWO quarterbacks and then playing their third, "we still don't know how good they are"? We know now. Ohio State, when they play their top game, are a very good team and deserve to be where they are.
Are they better than Florida State, Alabama or Oregon? I would put them right there with Oregon. I still think the two best teams are Alabama and Florida State but I actually watched the Ohio State game and as I said after the Iowa game, Iowa did them a big favor by giving them a strong kick in the ass. They played great at every facet of the game against a respected Penn State team. That Penn State team certainly isn't outstanding but it is just as good or better than any other team that the likes of Alabama, FSU and Oregon are beating by scoring 60 points or more.

I took Mizzou because Connor Shaw wasn't going to play. So Spurrier puts Shaw in late to pull out the game. Thanks Steve.

Win's a win. I just want to go back to Atlanta.
If Auburn wins out, they'd could go to the title game. SEC could still have two at larges if somebody beats bama in the SECCG
