That is pretty much the consensus thought of most Rocket fans. We have a ton of great athletes on the team. However, the talent level of the offensive coaching staff doesn't match the talent level of the athletes.

Surprised UMass would go for 2 at home, go for the tie at home and win on the road.

I'd have to think that Molnar's seat will be very warm after that dumb call. Almost felt bad for the UMass kids. Almost, because our season has been a dumpster fire.

At least we won't set a new WMU record for futility this season with no wins.

Temple(1-6) was leading 28-14 at half over SMU(2-4). Now with under 4 minutes left in the game losing 52-42. Greener pastures indeed.

Congrats to WMU on getting that first victory. I see your QB had a pretty good game.

NIU took two knees at the EMU 5-yard instead of trying to put more points on the scoreboard and gave the ball back to EMU with around 50 seconds.

Final: 59-20 NIU

Buffalo best in East, not BG. Let me know when you guys hang your 3rd place Division banner, I want to bring the whole family out for that one.

Buffalo is very solid on both sides of the ball. They looked better to me than BG. They will be a handful for anyone.

Ouch that's 115 points give. Up between the last two weeks (and 355 overall). BG has given up 148 for the season.

The call didn't bother me. UMass missed a field goal down that end from the 5 yard line earlier that quarter. That's always the tough end of the stadium to kick at. When Gostkowski misses, it's usually down that end. Also, the receiver was wide open, Doyle just missed him.

Other things about the game upset me, but not that call.

Congratulations to WMU on the win.

I was at WMU-UMass, and oh my god that pass from Doyle was excruciating. He really was wide open. I also thought the call to go for it made plenty of sense, from my neutral-rooting-for-the-local-team perspective.

It was a fun experience, and I hope both teams can pick up a win or two the rest of the way.

Thinking more smash mouth football with that back and Oline. Those holes were lanes today.

Thanks to NIU's sportsmanship, I lose my fantasy football matchup this week and drop into a first place tie. (Each participant drafts 11 teams, each week you pick your 6 best games and we go by point margin, so 7 more points by NIU would have made the difference.)...NIU is a very good team to own in this league.
