FCS: Last Year for a School's Losing Record
Here is the last year that an FCS school had a losing record. Not counting this year. Schools at the bottom haven't played but a few years.

RE: FCS: Last Year for a School's Losing Record
So, there's a chance we will move to 3rd on the list. We change coaches, we might go through a down period. ODU has never had a losing season. We schedule easy OOC teams. Its a stat to boast about. Liberty is not far behind us.

PurpleSolo, I agree that this is interesting, but not sure where you are heading. I'm guessing, that you are saying we need to be proud of MM, JMU, the football team, JB, etc., and we need to stop complaining so much. Some do complain a lot, no, a whole lot. I voice my complaints as well.

My father always rode me when I wasn't accomplishing everything that he knew I could. I think that is what brings so much frustration to the people on this board. We want so much from something we love, that we occasionally, no we often, take it over the top.

If this is your underlying message, I hear you. If you are heading down another path, please enlighten me.

Just posting it to see what people thought. I saw on the Any Given Saturday board where someone thought Appy had the longest winning record streak and it made me wonder where JMU was at....I thought we would be high on the list. And yes....especially considering that we play in one of the toughest conferences and the past few years we usually play an FBS school....I think it is a positive stat.

It is a positive stat. I thought maybe you had an underlying message that you were attempting to use to validate or invalidate changing conferences and to go or not go FBS.

They have those at every non-football school. My cousin at UNC Pembroke had one before they started playing in '07. I'm pretty sure I've seen a Longwood one. I would imagine Mason has one. I would think Radford has one, but then again most of their fans think they go to Tech and therefore have a football team.

If you had done this list a year ago, Montana would be #1, going back to 1985. Surprised they weren't #1, but I guess those sanctions hit them hard last year.
