They do and they are. Its not the end of the world. Theres still plenty of good games on today, NFL tomorrow, and hoops starts in a few weeks.

Lots could be learned from the timing patterns that SMU kept completing, regardless of our blitzes, etc

I don't think we watched the same 4th quarter. With 6 minutes to go, they were not playing prevent and Lynch was completing passes 10-15 yards downfield. Then we went back to bubble screens and he got picked off.

After reading this thread I am 100% convinced that 70% of our fan base knows next to nothing about football. Not that they should considering what they've seen the past 5 years.

Who knew this game would ultimately come down to a missed FG in the first half?!

Obviously there were many other things we could have done to win this one, but that's just an example of the type of thing that's holding this team back.

Whether it's penalties, turnovers or something else, we gotta get over that hump.

Well, for one thing, not understanding much of what you have already said. The failures on offence are schemes, not Lynch.

Our team, coaches, fans, and the jumbotron operator all took a big step backwards today. Replays were scarce today.

Give credit to smu. Their offense owned our nationally ranked defense from the start. Their qb was elusive, and they made big plays all day long.

Their defense knew exactly what we were doing most of the day. Our misdirection didn't phase them. They were blowing up our plays all day long. After we blocked the punt, smu knew exactly what we were doing on 2 of the 3 plays. It was a great game plan and execution by them.

We had so many letdowns and mistakes. We give up a TD on the 2nd play of the game. We open up with the fumbles. As if we need more fumbles. Then you got the backwards pass that is a fumble and loses yards. Missed tackling which gave up big time yardage. Hitting guys out of bounds in frustation. Really dumb penalties on our kickoff team and our kickoff return team. A facemask penalty which negates a touchdown late. Another dumb penalty on the 90something yard interception returned for a TD which negated that TD too. A really bad interception thrown by the tigers late.

It was ugly. Hopefully, we can get 4 wins this year, but i'm starting to have my doubts.

No shot at four wins there is no offensive improvement.

One/Two wins is more like it, we are too busy congratulating ourselves for moral victories and never quit comebacks. Losing is acceptable because look where we came from.

I hate these basketball only fans commenting on football threads. Your guys have 0 knowledge of the game.
