This is a matter that has to be settled between the two schools involved. It's not the place of the conference, its not the place of the other schools in the conference, its not the place of the media. Settle your business with each other either through mutual agreement or politically instead of blaming everyone else. It's a Louisiana matter.

That said, it is better for the perception of our conference and the school for them to be known as "Louisiana". It would also be better for the conference and for ULM to be known by some specific name...such as University of Monroe. That sounds a lot more prestigious both academically and athletically than ULM or UL@M and would be better for that city as well. Or switch to University of Acadiana and University of Monroe. Either way is better.

But resolve your own internal argument. Don't keep jumping all over everyone who has nothing to do with it. I sometimes use Louisiana, UL, ULL, Lafayette, depending on my mood. I really don't particularly care one way or the other and getting riled at whatever I happen to use that day solves nothing. When you settle it...I'll use whatever comes out of that.

Anyone with any sense realizes that it would be better for the conference and both schools to have it "University of Louisiana" and "University of Monroe" or "University of Acadiana" and "University of Monroe" Looks a lot better both ways. But nobody can impose that except you two.

It'll be the same if you are in CUSA, the AAC, the SEC, or any other conference alongside a Louisiana school.

Not sure how you solve it. ULM is, IMO, hurting themselves by not sitting down and working out a deal on this. But that's just my opinion.

LOL! When I see Techs Pres and board members posting in a thread that stupid I might see a problem and be worried. Until then, there is only 1 school in the ULS system worried more about everyone elses success than their own.... Thats insecure, low hanging fruit, ULM.
