I appreciate the insight I gain from many of you, but my word, some of you are nit-picking and parsing this Carr Report/BOV/Faculty Senate thing to death. This new zen version of 757 is great! And correct, one little bye week and I'm freaking about the damned faculty senate. Time to get back to rootin'! A win against the pantless griffins puts the Dukes in GREAT position while a loss would be REALLY tough to overcome.

I think we said that before last week's game as well. I'll bet this statement is made before each game from here on out.

Every game should be considered a playoff game from here on out. They are all must wins. Yes, we can afford another loss, but not against W&M.

This continues to apply when we win the next four and go into the final against Towson for playoff seeding. We have as much of a possibility to win the CAA and the FCS as any team. It comes down to playing four quarters of every remaining game.

I honestly believe if we can manage to do that, we can beat anyone in the CAA. We might be able to get away with three strong quarters against W&M and SB, but it will take a full 4 quarters to beat Villanova and Towson.

We need the coaches to coach those four quarters rather than send the signal that we are going to hang on and wait for the clock to run down.

1. Hell of a series right now for ALCS. I live with two guys from Boston and Verlander went to my high school so its been a blast the past few nights. I actually HATE baseball. The only way I survive a few innings is by betting $.25 on the outcome of every play.

2. I never really got too hyped for W&M. Never saw them as a rival compared with UR (but do I hate UR) and Nova. However I loved when JMU knocked them from #1 with 2(?) pass attempts.

3. I'm not impressed by Till. Seems like he gets tons of coverage for being our 3rd best LB and 5th or 6th best guy on D. How many knockdowns till Snow have this weekend? I swear we shoulda, coulda, woulda had 5 interceptions.

One way to make baseball more interesting is to have a beer every inning and take a shot every time your team hits a home run.

duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuukes....open the playbook for 3.75 quarters! dont' be afraid to show them we are good mickey (and it gives our boys time to practice in real time situations)
