Marshall and Louisville was scheduled for 2014 will now take place 2016.

Louisville Game Moved to 2016.

Louisville leads the series 16-12 but they haven't won a game against Marshall since 1981. The win streak of 4 includes a 1987 win when Marshall was IAA. That game was put away when Mark Snyder (yes that Mark Snyder) intercepted a pass on the Louisville 7 yard line.

A replacement game will be announced soon to replace the Louisville game for next year.

Looks like we are getting stuck with another Gardner-Webb game. If you all took pot shots at our SOS this year just wait until next season. Isn't our fault. Notre Dame screws up college football. They need to joing a conference and stay.

Agreed. I'm getting irritated at their whole "half-way" deal with the ACC, I wish they would just do it already and join 100%. Plus as a Miami fan I'd love that regardless.

Why not try to schedule a game with Charlotte. Yes, it's early, but at least would be an interesting game for both teams and even in Charlotte, the Herd has a ton of faithful. Probably not possible, but...

Give Louisville credit, the could have just bought us out. They could afford to if the wanted.

If this would have been Bob Marcum, they wouldn't have even had to do that. He would have just let them out with no buyout. He let both Miami FL and Tennessee out without buying us out.

Just think where Marshall could be if we had a competent AD and president in the early 2000s. Instead we had a president that didn't believe athletics was that important (Dan Angel), who also funneled money out of athletics to build the biotech center. And an AD that didn't think we had any business in IA, even though he was a Marshall grad.

If I'm not mistaken we would have had Tennessee and Miami at home in the same season.

Failing anything else, I would love to see someone we've never played before (at least in recent memory). Perhaps like Arky State or even UK (yeah, I know...that ain't happenin'...at least not at home). To me, it just doesn't make sense as to why we can't work out deals with the other close schools such as UK or Vandy, Pitt, etc...

Man that would have been something.

We got a basketball game out of the deal too. Next year in Louisville.

No Tennessee would have been in 04 and Miami would have been in 05. Those two games were replaced with Ohio State for a one and done and William and Mary at home in 05.

What it would have done was had Miami and K-State at home. But who should be complaining about that.
