I think both deserved a win.

Beating Oka should give Mack the chance to retire gracefully after the season. Heck, they could win the Big XII. If Texas was smart, they'd orchestrate a press conference now where Mack announces his retirement after the bowl.

O'Brien took over a program in shambles. There have been some bumps but with schollys going up, PSU might get back to national prominence sooner than anyone expected.

On the flip side, I feel sorry for Mark Richt. Just when it looked like Georgia might be a real challenger for the NC, the Bulldogs suffer what, in my memory, is the worst string of injury losses ever. I'm sure some Gamecock and Gator fans will say injuries are a part of the game, and they are correct, but the Gators' losses are unprecedented.

Good win Texas. There really isn't anything OU fans can say. You beat us evenhandedly. You came into Dallas ready to play. We did not.
