Congrats to Tulane.

The Green Wave had a solid gameplan, they stuck to it, and they won the game. Game balls go to your back that had the INT TD and your world class kicker.

I hope we see you again this season.... only in Dowdy. 03-wink

We lost this game on the pick 6 plan and simple. Carden tried to force it in and paid the price against a team that has lived off TO's. That was a 10 to 14 point sing on the scoreboard.

We do like to jump routes, and that ball was telegraphed.

But IMO, you lost this game because your kicker missed 3 FGs from inside of 45 yards. That matters a lot in close games.

It wasn't that play that I was referring to.

Did you even think this through?

I'm talking about in the 4th when Tulane was offsides and Shane threw a TD on a free play- just like the TD we got against UNC. The refs blew the play dead when they shouldn't have as there was no contact.

NOT talking about the drive where we scored right after the other TD they got the call wrong on.

That drive ended with the Cooper TD.

It would be great for Tulane, ECU, CUSA and the AAC for Tulane and ECU to play for the CUSA title; except this time lets play it in Greenville with all of ECU's players.

do we get all of ours back too ? ;\

1st and 10 at TULN 25 Shane Carden pass incomplete to Lance Ray, broken up by Jordan Sullen. 26 33
2nd and 10 at TULN 25 Shane Carden pass complete to Lance Ray for 6 yards to the Tulan 19, tackled by Jordan Sullen.
3rd and 4 at TULN 19 Shane Carden pass incomplete to Justin Hardy, broken up by Jordan Sullen.
4th and 4 at TULN 19 TULANE penalty 5 yard offside on Chris Davenport accepted, no play.
1st and 10 at TULN 14 Chris Hairston rush over left end for 2 yards to the Tulan 12, tackled by Dominique Robertson.
2nd and 8 at TULN 12 EAST CAROLINA penalty 10 yard holding on Adhem Elsawi accepted, no play.
2nd and 18 at TULN 22 Shane Carden middle pass complete to Vintavious Cooper for 20 yards to the Tulan 2, tackled by Nico Marley for a 1ST down.
1st and Goal at TULN 2 Vintavious Cooper rush over right guard for 2 yards for a TOUCHDOWN. 32 26
Warren Harvey extra point GOOD.

The bolded play should have been a TD, but the idiot ref blew the play dead. But we still scored on the drive, so it didn't cost us anything.

Won't have needed two of them. With it, those missed kicks loom large. But, like I said you can't throw that against Tulane. We did, you picked it off and won.

Harvey has been all over the place this year on FG's. Wasn't counting on him. Santos is the real deal kicker, money. We couldn't play FG war or turn it over, we did both.

If indeed Tulane is improving then this bodes well for them and The American.

Both defenses played great today... only offensive td was by ECU to tie it.

The, all of a sudden both offenses get it going in OT.

I'm surprised our OL got blown up by Tulane's DL.

Exactly...They played with a back-up QB. Tulane won the game with better overall play, plain and simple....No excuses.

The refs blew it dead b/c someone had a open shot at the QB and when the ref blew the whistle the TU defensive player let up which is why your guy was wide open. GET OVER IT!

Tulane dropped 2 Touchdown passes that could have blew this open in the first half - thats football!

Tulane played a great game. ECU blew thw play calls latw and couldn't pull out a third straight road win.

That said, rhe officials gave you this one at thw end of regulation. Kepp up the good play, I want a rematch in the CCG.

The American looks like it will be the winner with these two programs... Tulane being in NOLA with a new stadium has serious potential once it has better National TV coverage -- ECU has a great fan base and seems to always be competitive. Both will do well stepping up next season.

Today though - that was some real good CUSA football.

RE: Tulane beats ECU in triple OT 36-33 to move to 5-2
The score was tied at 16. It was the very last drive we had in the 4th quarter that resulted in Harvey missing the field goal as regulation expired. Has nothing to do with the drive that Cooper scored on before it.

What I saw was Shane was already throwing the ball when they blew the whistle. The receiver was wide open, caught it, and was in the endzone, much like our last TD against UNC a couple weeks back. Didn't see if Shane got hit on the play (for reference to the possibility of blowing the call dead to protect him).

When I'm wrong, I admit it unlike a lot of posters on these boards. Either way, Tulane wins the game so Congrats to them. Consider the protest dropped.

3rd and 12HARVEY, Warren field goal attempt from 42 MISSED - wide left, spot at TLN25, clock 00:00.
3rd and 12Timeout Tulane, clock 00:03.
3rd and 12Timeout Tulane, clock 00:03.
3rd and 12Timeout East Carolina, clock 00:03.
2nd and 12COOPER, Vntvus rush over left guard for no gain to the TLN25 (GILBERT, Tyler).
1st and 10COOPER, Vntvus rush over left end for loss of 2 yards to the TLN25 (MONROE, Darion).
---> ***3rd and 1PENALTY TLN offside (MARLEY, Nico) 5 yards to the TLN23, 1ST DOWN ECU.*** <---
2nd and 1CARDEN, Shane pass incomplete to IVEY, Lamar (BATISTE, Jordan).
1st and 10CARDEN, Shane pass complete to COOPER, Vntvus for 9 yards to the TLN28 (ROBERTSON, D.).
1st and 201st and 10.
1st and 10COOPER, Vntvus rush over right tackle for 22 yards to the TLN27, 1ST DOWN ECU (MONROE, Darion), PENALTY ECU holding (HARDY, Justin) 10 yards to the TLN37.
1st and 10EAST CAROLINA drive start at 01:21.
