I feel more like an Ohio U 6-0 than a solid NIU 5-1.

What frustrates me to no end is that NIU's offense scores when it has to, but when it is ahead and doesn't need the points as crucially, things get sloppy. Why cant there be a sense of urgency on EVERY possession.

You know what I thought tonight for the first time in a long time MD...That I was watching Novak's (god bless him) huskies O playing. Run run pass punt.

Yes it certainly felt like that at times, its hard to really pinpoint an offensive identity with this team. I hate speaking in these general vague terms but I just get the feeling the play calling this year just has left so much to be desired. There does not seem to be any continuity from week to week, its hard to know what kind of identify offensively this team has. I think a lot of this is because of Lynch's injury situation. Why do I have this feeling at the end of the year when we learn the exact nature of it we are going to be shocked he was able to play with it.

OMG I was sort of paralleling his offense as well.....relatively vanilla with the classic end game collapse...or in todays case, near collapse

We dont have the foot on throat mentality, it seems like we just do what we need to to get by. Which does us no favors in the human polls. We need blow outs in this 4 game stretch vs the bottom of the MAC!

RE: CBSSports early take on tomorrow's Top 25
I'm not worried about the BCS right now because there's no chance this team can win 7 more consecutively (with trips to Toledo & Detroit & a visit from Ball State in there, heck at CMU next week is no gimmie) if they don't start playing better.

The defense was mildly encouraging today, but there's no arguing that the Idaho, EIU, & Akron performances aren't going to cut it in some of our November (early December?) games.

6-0 is 6-0 and I'm not complaining about that, but this team definitely has a 2012 Ohio vibe to it right now. Hopefully, they can start playing better and alter history.
