Liberals say no deal conservatives say Boehner gave Obama everything he wanted in exchange for a handful of magic beans, minor changes to Obamacare (probably things Obama wanted anyway) and some spending cuts. Deal is just a rumor, but we'll soon see.

I think this entire shutdown charade was nothing more than making sure Americans
completely understand that the future failure of ACA isn't blood on their hands.

They are absolutely convinced that Obamacare will crash and burn and want no part of the blame.
Those silly Republicans don't understand that the media will blame them anyway.

You gotta give Ted Cruz credit. Without his 21 hour speech, there would be no pressure for discussion on Obamacare. Talk about real leadership bringing a MAJOR issue to the table despite the ruling class's unwillingness to do so.

Whomever is running the country (Muslim Brotherhood?) know they tell us what WE want, not the opposite. Just look at the VA gov race for proof.

Respect Ted Cruz? Yeah, I'm good, thanks. But by all means keep propping him up and alienating your party from the electorate.

This^^^ It is more about sparking an ongoing movement and reigniting the Tea Party.

I think they tried to cave, and then Obama pushed it again.

They just might dig in for good now.

The problem with negotiating with Obama. He's not sufficiently honest to be relied upon.

I'm thinking this wouldn't be the first time that R's have negotiated a deal only to have Obama tear it up and demand a bunch more concessions--in return for nothing--afterwards.
