Where at? Not going to the game but still would do a meet up. Two tickets $60 wow. Usually their tickets aren't more then 20. Must think its a hot game.

Looking at their home schedule we are the highlight of it. Plus the 5 Mile (non) Rivalry aspect of it is appealing as well.

I looked at their website some time ago and they had the ODU tickets and their homecoming tickets for $30/$35, when all the other games are $20/$25. I am sure they thought it was going to be a sell out, with all the ODU fans and the NSU fans hoping to get revenge for the playoff game. As bad as they have looked, I am wondering how many people will be there, after all? I know we will be, but the ODU fans did not show up in huge numbers at Hampton either time (almost as many as Hampton fans, but still not a huge crowd). Kind of crazy that we got UMD tickets on the 40, just a few rows from the field for $4 and Pittsburgh tickets for about the same, but might be paying $30 for Norfolk State!

NSU QB was once an ODU Monarch Waterboy lol... I am sure with our move up NSU will benefit from our program misfits

Not that crazy. We are a cupcake to Maryland and Pitt, as much as we don't think so, their fans don't really care about us so why show up, plus they play in a 52k and 61k stadiums respectfully.

$30 a pop to see ODU at NSU? Hmm...that's a bit steep.
Either way, should be an absolute rout so let NSU make their money.

Isn't $30 what we pay for our home games? So if I'm willing to pay $30 to see us kill Albany and the scrimmage against Campbell, $30 to see NSU aint really all that bad.

$30 dollars isn't going to hurt ya. Before the day is over it'll probably be a $150 day for us. Breakfast, bar, game, Tide ride, dinner downtown and maybe a fine bottle of wine at home.

Im not so sure its going to be a rout. NSU will be fired up to play us at their place, probably for the only time. Yes, on paper we should win handily, but we also barely squeeked by Citadel. When NCSU plays at Foreman in 2 years, Im sure their fans will expect a rout of us as well, but I would hope with emotion, fans and home field we can make it exciting and maybe pull the upset. NSU fans are surely hoping for the same, and if we overlook them it could happen. It shouldnt, but if JMU can beat VT in an in state one-sided rivalry game, it could happen to us. The Spartans are a proud team, pissed that ODU has surpassed their program in just a few years, and its a cross town rivalry.

RE: ODU vs. NSU
Yeah, we heard teh same when they came to Foreman for the playoffs. Supposedly we hadn't seen a defense like NSU before.
Then they got that fluke 99 yard TD pass when our defenders ran into each other. NSU fans started running their mouths. Then ODU showed their dominance.
I don't mean to knock any college athlete, but their QB was like 5th string for ODU.

Norfolk St. fan base is pretty much media driven/ word of mouth. As soon as the paper and local news channel's start hyping the game in about a week. Tickets will start to move. When we go over there take a look at their stadium 31k- 32k it looks small and ugly and I hope the uppers at ODU notice it! I would hate for us to build a 30k stadium like that. I do like how the first row is 8ft off the ground

They needed a late 4th quarter FG to beat Savannah St.
It will be a rout.
Unless they suddenly trot out the triple option.

No way that will happen. Our stadium may not be as large as some people would like, but it will be state-of-the-art.

I prefer cautious optimism, but we should Spartan kick these guys on almost every possession. And remember to be loud. They don't like it when we're loud.
