CBSSN getting more distribution
http://csnbbs.com/showthread.php?tid=652369
saw this on the AAC board- looks like CBSSN has been added to Time Warner Cable's Digital TV package now. Now seen in 53 million homes and available to more than 99 million households....
They have 200 college basketball games this season- so adding the AAC and the Big East increased their volume by about 33%.
It'll be interesting to see if this number goes up further. If so, it's another win for both the Big East and the AAC.

CBSSN getting more distribution
My guess is CBS decided to prop up its smaller properties instead of going for the bigger increase on the CBS Owned & Operated stations in the last dispute with Time Warner.
We basically have 4 uniform groups of an over-the-air network, cable sports channel, and basic cable entertainment channel:
ABC/ESPN/Disney
CBS/CBS Sports Net/TVGN
Fox/Fox Sports 1/FX
NBC/NBCSN/USA Network
CBS is clearly behind with their supporting cast, although having Showtime offsets having the former TV Guide Network.

Jumping from 46-47 Million subscribers to 53 Million is good news for CBSSN and those conferences with contracts with CBS (SEC, Big East, AAC, etc...)
PS. The "available" number is worthless...but since CBSSN was always the smallest (still is) Sports Network among the Big 4 (ESPN Networks, Fox Sports, NBC Sports), that's the number CBS has thrown out in every press release...even though their actual distribution was always less than half that number.
