Great news!!!! Major congratulations are due to all those responsible for this coup. It also means that the WBB team really, really, really, needs to win the MAC tourney next year in order to take advantage of the likely home court advantage (besides with the NCAAs, Savage will not be available for hosting any WNIT games that year).

Great opportunity for Coach Cullop and the team (and the University) to shine on the national stage!!

Fantastic News! The article above list all the schools chosen. All the other schools are Big10, PAC10, Big12, SEC or ACC. What a coup for the University and the city!!

Unless I am reading something wrong, this is for this coming season. Which stinks because it will be tough for us to get there, but I am super happy about this!

Two rounds will be huge. Whether we're in it or not that's great, but better to be in it for sure. Another coup for MOB.

When I first saw 2014, I assumed they were talking about the 2014 (-2015) season but after reading the article, I think that you are right. Fortunately, there appears to be quite a bit of potential talent in this recruiting class and the team will have all season for the young players to gain experience and for the coaches to experiment with all the possible new personnel combinations on the floor together so there should be time for the team to come together and jell. I expect they will take their share of hits early on this season but hopefully by tournament time they will be a fully operational well oiled machine and in peak form playing their best ball of the season.

Of course winning the tournament is always a very long shot, but what a wonderful opportunity for them if they can find a way to pull it off.

I am sure our nationally ranked home attendance gave the University the ammo they needed to help pull this off, but they deserve full credit for getting the job done.

What a great opportunity to showcase our facilities. It does say March, 2014, so it would be this season. Very cool.
