As for the Beastie Boys, you have to have the entire License to Ill album. If you like their more eclectic suff then Paul's Boutique just makes the cut at 1989.




While "Wild Thing" and " Funky Cold Medina" were the big hits, the whole album was actually pretty good.

Eric B and Rakim's Paid in Full was a great track/album.





So was "Microphone Fiend" off of "Follow the Leader"

Damn I miss the golden era of hip hop.

For whatever reason, "Manic Monday" was playing in the background at several significant life events of mine. Not sure I've ever paid attention to all the words before watching the video, but it's definitely an 80s song that made an impression. Though not entirely of its own doing.
