RE: ESPN's first conference rankings
ACC is not third and the big 10 is not fifth. Also, remove Rutgers and Louisville from the AAC and the 6th rating goes down too

Big 12's bottom teams are better than the ACC's bottom teams.

What the rankings truly show has already been brought up by others in this thread. The gap between the P5 and the G5 is not likely to close in any of our lifetimes, and certainly not in bit's or my lifetimes. 03-old
It's very difficult to compare the B12 bottom the ACC bottom since the ACC has so many more teams.

If you compare 10 to 10 you have:

1. Clemson
2. FSU
3. Miami
4. VT
5. Pitt
6. GT
7. MD
8-10 BC/Wake/NCSU

11-14 - Syracuse/UNC/Duke/UVa

1. OU
2. Baylor
3. Texas Tech
4. OSU
5. Texas
6-10 Kansas State, Kansas, WVU, Iowa State

I'm not sure that the ACC's 11-14, aren't better than the B12's 6-10 this year.
I am sure, with the exception of Kansas. I doubt anyone in the ACC is that bad...

Also, I doubt Texas is better than WVU. We'll find out more about that when the walking wounded Longhorns come into Morgantown in November...
