Before TT is burned at the stake. Tim Adams reports that TT hasn't played golf since July and Tommy G also notes that TT offered to do radio spots for free this season.

I also think Tuberville's delusional if after the last two outings he believes many of us expect this team to beat anyone. That's just wishful thinking at this point. Temple's a better team than USF. I do hope he's able to right the ship.

I watched Temple play Louisville. They don't have the athletes that USF has. They lost to Idaho. The Bulls are going to finish in the middle of this conference. My guess is Temple will be in the bottom 2.

We have some athletes, they're just almost all hurt. Our true freshman RB is very good and needs to be given more carries. We have two good WRs who are not hurt. Our TE/FB/WR/Wildcat QB is currently leading the fan vote for the Hornung Award (nation's most versatile player). Our starting QB is a true freshman who was named NJ's offensive player of the year. There's some talent, but we definitely need some bigger WRs.

Back to the topic at hand... I seriously think this game is a toss-up and will come down to which team wants the "W" more. If UC loses, then we know that TT has truly lost the team.

I honestly give the edge to Temple.

I think there is no way the team comes into Nippert stadium and rolls over like it did the three road games. If they've given up it will be close. If they start to click in with the staff we "Purdue" them.

We should "Purdue" them no matter what. Temple is really, really bad. Like Dave Shula Bengals bad.

RE: Bearcats not in position to take any team lightly
I put most of this reply up on the "Pussyfooting" thread... I'll modify it slightly for this one as well:
Adversity is a part of life and the game. I said this after the Illinois game where we got screwed on the 1 yard line (the non-TD call)-- You have two options: one is to get angry and motivated, the other is to give up.

THIS Bearcat team doesn't seem to be rallying. THIS Bearcat team gets screwed on the one-yard-line and gives up a 99-yard scoring drive. THIS Bearcat team hasn't showed me any of the character or grit that made me so proud of some of the other Bearcat teams. None of the determination of "The Next Man In." Or even the corny "Hold the rope." This team's slogan at this point might as well be "We got screwed, what can you do?"

So, how are we to get excited about the fact that this team ***should*** "Purdue" Temple at home? They just got smacked by a really really bad USF team that was winning by 20 points late in the 4th Quarter. I haven't seen any signs that they will respond to their adversity in any other fashion than to throw-up their hands and walk off. I don't know how Temple is responding at the moment, but from where I sit, if I were the Temple coach, I'd be pointing out the fact that there is blood in the water. USF just got their first win of the season off this team, so can Temple.

Note to the board: Don't tell the truth and say that Temple sucks. It hurts this guy's feelings.

Doesn't hurt my feelings because I know it's true. You just seem to go out of your way to criticize and belittle us.

8/18/02: "We'll be ready. This isn't the SEC." Great prediction. You guys have held up well in the new conference. Maybe if you had not come on here to talk smack and boast about the greatness of Temple you would be treated differently.

And I'm a fan of Temple, have friends there, a great academic institution.

We've lost about 5 contributors for the season and already have the second youngest team in the country. Obviously, things have not gone well and we expected to do better. We've given up yards, but I wouldn't say we've been crushed in any game, including Notre Dame, Houston, and Louisville.
