Loved the food-never got tired of it. When I moved east, Adams was the thing I missed most about the Haven.
Well, that and the Mexican restaurant in Southbrook mall that was owned by brothers Gilbert and Guale(Wally).

I like the way you are representing my old hood!!!! I was a fan of the Minute Man across the street from Adams Family on Milbranch. The hickory burger and a Deep dish radar range apple pie. Circa 1972
Dang, man. I had forgotten about that place. I really liked it too!
Although, usually in high school if we had a family Friday night Burger Fest, we chose Hi-Boy on 51.

So Roy and Btiger like to enjoy watching football games and gladiator movies around the pool and hot tub with young athletic men? What are you insinuating?

Scariest line in that story:

Quote:Today’s boosters, Adams said, have lost the intimate relationships with players he always sought.

I was an assistant manager at that TG&Y while putting myself though college. Well, very briefly anyway. Manager was a nutcase and humble was not a mastered skill at 20. Walked out on him after a particularly bad tirade.
