RE: CALLAWAY VS MCGEE
To be honest I see him bolting at the first oppurtunity. I sipped a little of the kool-aid at first, but its starting to wear thin.
I never accuse anyone of being a terrible fan, I do think people have some realistic and unrealistic expectations.
Beating FAU & Troy: realistic
Beating LSU (ranked 9th we're 89th) & Vanderbilt (vs our D): unrealistic...it could've happened but not with this staff right now.
Win the ones you are suppose to and fight to win the ones against you.

RE: CALLAWAY VS MCGEE
Before the season I looked at our schedule this way:
Games we basically had no chance of winning
@Vandy
@LSU
Games we could win, but we'd probably need a lot of help
@Marshall
@ECU
Rice
Games we could win, but we could just as easily lose
@Troy
MTSU
Southern Miss(I just couldn't see them being that bad again)
Games we should win
FAU
@FIU
@UTSA
Games we better win
NW State
I figured we'd lose at least one game that we should win, and win one game that we should lose. I looked at it as 4 wins would be the floor, and 8 wins would be the absolute ceiling. I honestly thought this team should be 5-7 or 6-6 when the season ended. Now, I think we might be looking at another 3 win season. There is still time to right the ship, but losing the only home game we have in a month, against a very beatable opponent, hurts.

RE: CALLAWAY VS MCGEE
Callaway lost at FAU, in 2011, in the last game of the season. I believe FAU was 0-11 going into that game.
That was Callaway's last game at UAB.

+1 I agree with you whole heartedly. I look at the schedule Sunday and realized we only have 3 home games left! And those are at the end of the year. He has a chance to build it up, but its slipping thru his fingers like water. I think he realizes that he was a little too cocky and got his arse handed to him at our expence, but I still have hope for 5 more wins...at least 4.

RE: CALLAWAY VS MCGEE
UAB has a very unique set of needs when it comes to hiring a new coach. Due to the neglect of our program, we need a proven head coach with experience who can right this ship. On the other hand, due to the aforementioned neglect we are unable to afford a proven head coach, so we have to take risks with outstanding coordinators and rookie head coaches. Realistically, we have to give Coach McGee another two years and if we are still losing conference games after that, then it will be time to reevaulate his product on the field.
