Finally got a line. Army is favored by 7.5.

Does Army still run the option? If so, it will definitely be a closer game than any of our most recent.

That's not saying much since we have been out scored almost 3-1.07-coffee3

Yeah, I know. I was just thinking about the ability of our defense to stop the option (they don't see and option offense all that often) and the ability of our offense to put some points on the board against what may be a slower and smaller defense.

I'm kinda sorta feeling like this may be win number two.

Dear HuronRob,
I would agree with you. I watched a repeat of an Army game from earlier this year. I think we are bigger and faster, but that may not mean what it should. I don't know if you were at the Army game last year, it was kind of a shoot-out, like 48-34, and if I remember correctly we pretty much had the game in control. In my mind this is definitely a game Eastern should win. Only time will tell.

Army is going to run roughshod over Eastern's poor tackling defense. It could get ugly, I see several long TD runs.

Army will cover pretty comfortably.

We had a poor tackling defense last year and Army didn't exactly "run roughshod" over them. Unless their defense got worlds better, I don't see them covering comfortably. This is probably one of our last realistic chances at a win. Army is pretty terrible.

I think this may be the 1st time that I am not going with the Eagles to win a game since joining the board.. I have no faith in the coaches have the players ready to play.. Hell we had 2 weeks to get ready for Buffalo game and you saw the results and now we only have 1 week for preparing for the Army option.. I can't see it happening.

So this is some type of reverse-psychology thing, right???

That was my thought, exactly.

Hoopster was doing the same thing on the Tigs.

He e-mailed Tuesday night as the Tigs were getting no-hit telling me how 'SAD, SAD, SAD' an ending it would be (to be no-hit during the last game of the playoffs).

Two minutes after I got his e-mail, the Tigs got their 2 hits and then their HR. 03-cloud9

One of the Detroit papers used to have article called "false prophets' for those who made sports predictions which were wildly wrong.

Hoopster is a member for his Tiger prognostications. 03-lmfao

Hoopster's 'best' comment (June 2012 ) was when he posted that Dombrowski should start selling off the marketable parts of the 2012 Tigers. 03-lmfao x 4.

Don't know if Hoopster likes Detroit baseball in October. Must be too cold. Actually, October is for basketball recruiting. Lol.
