I am guessing Troy counted tickets sold because of the tropical storm situation?

I was at the game and there was pretty much as many people at that game as UAB. Which we had over 21k for. It's pretty accurate. People came in for halftime/homecoming then left after halftime.

Student section emptied after halftime as usual too.

Homecoming explains it. I just remember some crowd shots in the 2nd half that were not pretty. We all have the problem of alums who come back for homecoming and leave as soon as halftime is over.

Heck, Last year I got stuck sitting in front of a couple who were attempting to describe the rules of football to each other. They learned you get 6 points when the guy in red gets into the painted end of the field and that occasionally the team kicks the ball to the other team for no reason at all.

Less than 2/3 of that made it to their seats. Attendance LOOKED terrible on Saturday. Pretty embarrassing.

Fans that were actually in their seats is about what I am hoping for our "Black Friday" game- on Friday after Thanksgiving (naturally) against Tx St.

The problem with TV games is all of our stadiums shoot towards the visiting side of the stadium and rarely do they show angles back to the other side. Not saying that was the case for ULM on Thursday, because it was very poor.

Middle Tennessee fans were really disappointed that they only had 20,109 for their big home game with East Carolina.

I wish WKU would. I was told all tickets was sold for our navy game but due to game time change not everybody showed up. the gate counted right at 20k, Which looked about right.
It seems that most schools count every ticket purchased and not butts in the seats and I know WKU does a gate count which makes it difficult to compare against other attendances. I remember last year FIU reported around 11-14k at one or they're games and 3k would have been pushing it.

One of the better moves ASU made this year was selling lower level season tickets on our visitors side and making sure they sold out. If our ticket holders show up...our crowds should look pretty large regardless.

I'm not sure about the rest of the Belt schools. But I know WKU and ASU consider both sides home with a corner on one of the sides for the visiting team. WKU just made one side a little nicer which comes with a nicer price tag for seats.

When I went last year the "visitor side" was on your home side and students on the opposite side. Did ya'll move visitor seating to the student side and students?

Visitor section is now directly across from where it was - so that it is behind the visiting teams on the north end of the east side. The middle section (directly behind visiting team) is now reserved instead of GA, and the south end of that east side is band/students.

We did switch sides, but that is still the visitors side either way, since its behind the visitors side line and is always facing the TV cameras.

I've been wishing they would do this for a long time. Our home side of the stadium would look much better on tv than our high school bleachers on the visiting side.

You probably couldn't see most of the fans because they were lying on the ground passed out from the heat.

It was darn HOT for an October game! 04-jawdrop

It couldn't have been no hotter than the WKU game @Tenn that was like being in...hell, the game and the sun.

The ASU vs UAPB game was so hot that people were passing out. My wife made me leave at halftime because she couldn't take it any more. It felt like the sun would never go down behind the press box.
