Heck, Last year I got stuck sitting in front of a couple who were attempting to describe the rules of football to each other. They learned you get 6 points when the guy in red gets into the painted end of the field and that occasionally the team kicks the ball to the other team for no reason at all.

First half the stadium looks more full... 2nd half was pitiful... It was hot as hell tho damn lol.

Either way it was the 2nd highest attended SBC game at Troy ever. And I believe 12th largest crowd ever.

It looked pitiful because a ton of people were with me near the concession stands in the shade recovering from heat stroke and could not be seen on TV. We should only have night games till the middle of October.

This is VERY true actually... Tons of people under the upper decks in the shade.

I have been one on our board and on others that just can not stand over inflation....of numbers and with our first two games at 21... and 20k something....I thought this 23 K is overestimated......folks came in late and It WAS HOT....kind of surprised folks with weather forcasts etc....the concession lines and just under the shade were numbers that I have never seen in the last 10 years.....I am a nut for numbers and stood on a landing going under the stands and estimated 2 K on home side at least at the 3-4 times during game that I went under.....walked over to visitors side and it was worse mass but just went once.....In some way I really do believe that this time it was not tooooooo far overestimated with a crowd that I have never seen behave like this one....Kind of like with weather prediction they dressed heavier and no sun screen and POW to hot for a lot of them......

I look like a freaking beet after the trip to Troy.

It wasn't as hot as last year's opener at Ladd thanks to the wind, but it was in the same ballpark.
