We played flat and with no emotion. Glad to get a win today.

MTSU fans, was that attendance normal for Home coming?little surprised there were not more MTSU fans at the game.[/align]

far as attendance I don't know what's going on with that. But winning our home games would probably be a good start towards fixing the problem. Don't think we've been undefeated at home since 2001.

It's almost become a MT tradition when we've actually had a good crowd that the football team stinks it up on the field.

I knew this would be a tough one and I'm glad that we got the win. I disagree that we "did not play well". I'm pleased with our D and our O just did not get points when they should have... but we still moved the ball well. MT's D looked good.

Exactly...We were just a little off on offense but I think some of that had to do with MTSU's defense.

Yes they do. Unfortunately, The ECU quarterback is even better. Carden is the real deal. Made some great throws when he had to. And your free safety #11) made one hell of an interception to seal it.

Tough loss but it was to a quality opponent. Good luck to the Pirates the rest of the year.

I was pissed at our play last week at BYU, but i thought we played a lot better this week than we have the last couple. We needed to make some more plays and not throw some of the balls we did, but over all it was better than i thought would happen.

Middle Tennessee players and their coaching staff wanted this football game bad. Glad we got out of there with a win.

We made silly mistakes especially with clock management before the half.
Jordan Davis needs to keep the hell still.
Over 500 yds offense and only 24 points is poor red zone execution, and that certainly has not been an issue until this game.
Last but not least, the MTU defense will knock hell out of you

Although we were on the short end of the score, that was an entertaining football game. One of the hardest hitting games by our defense that I can remember. ECU brought a nice crowd. Best of luck the rest of the way, Pirates.

TT Barber is turning out to be a great football player, and he's only a sophomore.

I thought the final play call of the first half was the only serious mistake made today by ECU.

Perhaps you can say red zone was an issue but that was obviously part of our defensive game plan. Allow the dink and dunk and then knock the crap out of the receivers and then tighten up in the red zone.

You still scored on 3/5 of your redzone possessions. And one of those misses was the clock management mistake at the end of the first half. The other was a missed FG, so it's not like you guys beat yourselves in the red zone.
