Cost of shooting victims
Have any of you gun toten, short sided fools ever consider how much money each gun shot victim costs? For instance, the next time you hear about a dude getting shot on a city block of your hometown or a 12 year old shooting himself on grandpappy's farm, think about the cost to treat the gun shot victim. If the victim has insurance (many don't,) then the costs to the public are slightly less yet the insurance company will increase our rates and we will pay for it. If the victim does not have insurance, than the hospital either gets a return on that cost from a public indigent levy such as we have in Hamilton County, Ohio (Cincinnati), or the hospital passes the cost onto those that have insurance and their respective insurance companies who raise our rates. Here are some figures from Arizona. Very compelling. We are paying out the butt for these victims.

When I pull out my weapon...I won't leave a gunshot victim. I will leave a funeral director a client.

I've owned a gun my entire adult life. I've shot zero people and one animal.

I am not the problem.

How does that compare to the cost of AIDS or gender reassignment surgery?

Or how about 73% of black babies are born out of wedlock. What is that cost?

The citizens of America who are scared silly of guns never think about actual problems. Also notice that he's from Cincinnati. I'm sure there is a large issue of people getting shot in cross fires by boys who are holding pistols sideways and away from direct eye sight as they fire at rival gang members.

West SIGH-EEEEEEED!!!

Re: Cost of shooting victims
Well, now we have 30 million more people to absorb the cost right? So, gun shot victims won't really cost me any more. Maybe a few pennies. And according to recent stats the victims are the ones we're trying to weed out anyway so who cares?

Positive Rep me and I'll vote for Obama in 2016

Perhaps he thinks we all have a short torso and long legs... I guess that's what he meant by short sided...

$99 billion in 2010 per the CDC
http://www.rmiia.org/auto/traffic_safety...rashes.asp

Obviously the solution is to ban cars.

You may be right, however he is being short-sighted if he is only singling out the short torso gun owners.
