1. #12 ECU 37 vs. #21 NCSU 34 (1992 Peach Bowl) (top 10 finish)
2. ECU 27 vs. #9 Miami 23 (1999)
3. ECU 24 vs. #8 WVU 3 (2008)
4. ECU 27 vs. # 17 VT 22 (2008 Charlotte)
5. #20 ECU 24 vs. #23 Pitt 23 (1991)
6. #23 ECU 19 vs. Stanford 13 (1995 Liberty Bowl) 7. ECU 31 @ #12 Miami 6 (1996)
That win should be higher IMO. That team went on to win the Big East and it was still when Miami had the allure of being the "U" They hadn't been beatdown like that in the Orange Bowl before.

Our 3 games against Vandy and victory against Ga Tech last year are probably the biggest ones. MT has won the last 3 games against Vanderbilt and hosts the 'Dores as our opening game for the start of the 2015 season (that year will mark the start of an at least 4 year home-and-away series, rotating between MT and Vandy, MT on odd years).
RE: What are the best victories in your program's history?
9/25/71 - Xavier 15-13: First win after plane crash.
12/19/92 - Youngstown State 21-28: First I-AA National Title
12/21/96 - Montana 49-29: Second I-AA National Title
9/6/97 - @Army 35-25: First FBS Win
12/5/97 - Toledo 34-14: First of Several MAC Championships
9/19/98 - @South Carolina 24-21
12/23/98 - Louisville 48-29 Motor City Bowl: First Bowl Win
9/4/99 - @Clemson 13-10
12/27/99 - BYU 21-3 Motor City Bowl: Capped off our Top 10 Undefeated season.
9/20/03 - @ #6 KState 27-20: Highest Ranked Opponent we defeated.
That is off the top of my head. Sure some other, more seasoned Herd fans can expound on that list.

I also thought our 1-aa win over 1-A Northern Illinois was a big win, at the time.
Number won for me, though, is our New Orleans Bowl win over Fedora and Southern Miss.

Lot of great memories in your list. The only two games that I did not have an opportunity to watch as an ECU were the 1975 UNC game and the 1983 win over Missouri.
I will say the win over Texas Tech in the Bowl game was from an execution stand point a beautiful to watch David Garrard and our Offense just absolutely slice Texas Tech apart.
RE: What are the best victories in your program's history?
A few that immediately come to mind:
1. 24-19 against Cincinnati in the 2002 N.O. Bowl
2. 21-14 against Tennessee in 1975
3. Victories against Texas Tech in 1997 and 1999
4. 52-14 against Baylor in 2003
Some of the old timers could bring some back from the glory days, but those are the biggest I can think of.

Add NT 29- Texas Tech 24 in 1988. Always nice to beat Tech in Lubbock. NT is actually 3-2 vs Tech in their home stadium. Also pounded Baylor 52-14 in 2003.
Win over Tennessee in 1975 was at their homecoming. Tennessee fans were so riled that someone parked a moving van in from of their coaches house. Tennessee cancelled the remaining games on the contract and we haven't played them since.
Not a big win, but a memorable one. 1977 beat Louisiana Tech 41-14 giving them their only loss in a 9-1-2 season. They went on the defeat Louisville in that year's Indy Bowl.

What about Nov. 6, 1999 @ Legion Field?
UAB 36 vs. #17 ECU 17
I would love to forget when your 3rd string QB (& coach's son I believe) lit up a David Garrard led ECU. Unfortunately, that memory is scorched into my brain because it cost us dearly. I think you guys kept us from winning the C-USA championship at least 2 or 3 times.
oh, i would have put that up there too...along with beating Furman at the last second in the quartefinals that year.....but the lame FCS jokes would have followed.
I would have also put this (go to #1 at the end):
and this:
and this:
and this up there as well:
