Yes, but if he already planned on graduating this year he may not want to come back.

If Akeem can even come back for 4 or 5 of the games this year I would like to see him back for selfish reasons. We are in a semi-rebuilding mode next year, his talents would sort of be wasted.

I'd love it if Akeem could come back and play. I'm not sure I understand your re-building mode comment.

On defense, they lose Ward, Bishop, Rainey, Windsor, Evans, Ware, Wells, and O'Neal.

Outside of Ward and Bishop, the replacements for the others have done a serviceable job. Looking at the 2-deep some of those guys lsot their jobs. It may still be challenging on that side of the ball.

On Offense everyone but Volk and Lynch is back. Yes, Lynch is going to be impossible to replace. I wouldn't say losing him makes the O in rebuilding mode. They will make the transition easy on the new guy with lots of Stingily up the gut, easy throws to TLL and Brown, and some jet sweeps.

Fill me in on how they are rebuilding.

Re-read what you just wrote. The answer is there. The defense stinks this year and we'll only get thinner next year. All-world QB will be gone too. As it stands right now, 2014 could be a challenge. Long way to go before then though.

A challenge and re-building are two different things. Plus, I was addressing MD's statement which only focused on the O. He was only talking about Akeem.

The offense will regress because Jordan Lynch will be gone. How much, we don't know. I'd be willing to wager they are still near the top of the MAC in offense though next year.

MAC QBs gone next year besides Lynch: Tettleton (Ohio), Owens (Toledo), VanTubbergen(WMU) , Wenning (Ball), Benz (EMU).

The west will almost be all fresh faces at that postion next year.

Actually I was more focused on the defense with the term rebuild.

#MDlogic

I just am saying unload all of your bullets this year, we may never have a shot like this again, ever.
