The leaders and cadets are subject to lawful orders. The Sec of Defense has ordered that the academies cease intercollegiate competition. That gentlemen is a lawful order. There is no wiggle room.

The coaches are paid to coach. What would the feds say if the coaches volunteered to coach the BC game? I'm sure they would find some reason to object.

I used this as an example. The IRS is a profit center. They MAKE money for the government. The IRS is shutdown. That kills any argument for allowing them to play regardless of who pays for it, in terms of the gov't view.
