Marshall beat Houston last year without a defense. Marshall has a good defense this year.

Did you really say last year....

Yeah, Einstein. It's the only measuring stick we have between UTSA, Houston and Marshall. What else would you like me to do, put on my Carnac hat?
I have no idea what happens Saturday. UTSA's a good team. I'm damned close to being willing to say they are the best team in the west. But we have to date shared no competition. The closest thing is the late-season game we had against UH last year. I think Marshall's offense is about like last years, a little more balanced and a little better, maybe. But the D is clearly better. I think this game comes down to the huge blunder. If one team makes one, or several, they lose. I'd say the betting lines are about right, but what do I know.

That may be right. But last I checked, it's pretty tough to cover our receivers for 100 plays too!

I'm pretty sure Marshall will beat UTSA. Our defense is not very good against the pass. Just throw it a lot. = )

Give me UTSA +21 and lets bet on it then.

I wouldn't be smart to make that bet, but neither would you. If you think there's no way you can lose by 21 you're being optimistic. If Herd fans think you can't get closer than 21 they aren't being realistic either.
With give up 19 ppg, you give up 36. We score 40, you score 26. It could get ugly.

There's a chance, especially if UTSA continues to turn the ball over at a high rate, but I still think the odds would be in my favor...I'd gladly take that bet.

Curious what your reasoning behind this is? I agree that its unlikely UTSA comes out of Huntington with a victory but not sure how Marshall is head and shoulders above Houston.
Propb becuase we beat them last year and we are much better this year than last. The final score was close on paper but that game was over at halftime.
I'm pretty sure I've never seen a game that was "over at halftime" decided by a 45 yd fg with 7 seconds left.

It should have been. Players slacked off too much kind of like the way we did Memphis and let you all right back in it.
