RE: ODU/ LIBERTY
For me personally the Liberty game was a landmark decision. Really the first time in Monarch history that the defense made a stand. This was a defining moment. Hopefully.

One got mention on Sports Center, a ton of press that followed and the other not much. The best part UNH game is the people that say they saw the whole game and I know for a fact they left. I had a friend's dad with our group at the UNH game. He's a +20 year season ticket holder at WVU and he had a great time. Keeps talking about that game and how much fun it was. He's now a Monarch fan and his son a WVU alum is an ODU season ticket holder, winning them over one at a time. Some games you don't forget and that was one of them.

Even though I thought the UNH game was our greatest comeback, this is an extremely important point.

I thought ODU's defense made a pretty good stand at JMU last November.

I have to admit it parts of the New Hampshire game were so painful i had to move three times to different listen and observing venues and drive my car and listen on the radio for about 10 miles before it was over. It was a great moment for Taylor a big accomplishment and put ODU on the map.

We have friends as well that have converted to become ODU football fans (W&M grad and ...... forgive me a VCU grad). They went to a a few games last year and again this year. We were able to get them tickets outside the stadium or on stubhub. They did not want to give a $500 donation or more to purchase season tickets. However they love the ODU football games, the game atmosphere tailgating with friends and all that goes with it (another reason I think we could sell lots of tickets game day).
Anyway after seeing the UNH and the Liberty games, along with us playing an FBS schedule next year. They have become very excited...... and with ODU's potential to have Marshall, So Miss, La Tech, Rice, UAB, or even FAU, FIU, Middle Tennessee, Western Kentucky and others such as NC State and Eastern Michigan play at SB Ballard, they have become Monarch Football Fans.
Well, they now or going to make the donation next year so they can get season tickets for ODU's future games.
Aim High * Go Monarchs

Exactly. But if you read JMU posters' take on that game, they gave the game away. No credit to our defense. Typical. BTW, thanks to the ODU fans that brought the blue and white streamers and to the students who sat just below us that hand made the "CAA Champs" sign which they gave to the players and was shown on tv.

I thought the criteria was Foreman Field
The statement I was replying to was "Really the frst time in Monarch history that the defense made a stand." Monarch history includes road games as well as home games.
Then, cupcakes aside, I would submit that the Oyster Bowl game vs JMU in 2011 was the finest defensive effort ever.
Ronnie Cameron and Craig Wilkins rose to the occasion, and we did indeed come from behind.
It was for me the most exciting as well. The perfectly in unison stadium wide O D U was electric!
That game legitimized ODU as an FCS power, and forever defined us as superior to Madison football.
FWIW, I believe that our 2011 defense was the best in our short history.
