I'm pretty sure the computers were what got NIU in last year if I'm remembering correctly.

Yes, well obviously NIU was 16th in the human rankings and not as high in the computers, but the computers made a big jump in the last week to at least close the gap to what the human poll was showing. If we are really mid teens in 3 of these BCS computers right now, that is kind of scary, scary in a good way. Obviously Sagarin wont ever help us but at least that one can be thrown out. Gives you some optimism that if NIU ran the table they could make top 12 without a problem.

If NIU was 16th in the human polls and 15th overall, I'm not a math major but that would tell you they were higher in the computers.

Yeah that REALLY confused me at first but then I realized it is not necessarily the same 16 teams in each so that way its possible to be 15th BCS by being 16th in the human polls and 19 in the computers.

The computers lifted NIU (#16 in Coaches and Harris polls) past Boise (#15 in both) last year. It looks like they may give NIU the same lift over Fresno if both keep winning.

The site I saw had NIU 37 in Massey, where do you see 13. If that was true that would be reason for optimism?
