Houston just got through hanging 59 points on them.......it was close until the 4th quarter though. They are 2-3, but like us, have played some pretty stiff competition in Arizona and Okie State.

That's another reason why the Troy loss sting so much! And like FNblazer mentioned above, 6 wins might not get a bowl game. MTSU got left out last year with 8 wins.

2 or 3 seasons ago, Temple won 10 games and didn't get so much as a sniff at a bowl invite, and La. Tech ****** themselves out of a bowl game last season in spite of the great record they amassed...Look at them now...Watched Army just drag them up and down the field last week.

C-USA has more bowl tie-ins than the conferences of those teams did. I'm not saying we're guaranteed at 6 wins, but it is still likely.

BTW, we have served our days of being left out of bowl games: 2000, 2001
