To hell with that. I've watched parts of about eight games today, and I don't know what tattoos cost, but most of those guys must have at least $1,000 worth of tattoos. Most have them completely covering both arms. And you guys are worrying because they can't afford to buy a damn pizza. That worry should bring a tear to every glass eye.

Now, they do need to let these kids get a summer job back home. don't know the rules on it but everyone does need spending money but I dont think the schools need to provide anything other than housing, food, and an education.

Like it or not. It will happen because the ncaa is getting sued and the case is making its way through the court system. When schools are building $100 million practice facilities and coaches getting paid $9 million a season. Conferences are getting billion dollar TV deals, there a lot of people that don't understand why a Johnny manziel can't get some money for selling his autograph. It's inevitable that changes are coming down and most of the big programs (that includes the coaches, ADs, college presidents, boosters) are the ones that are ok with it because they know they should give a little to gain a lot and avoid the perception they ate being unfair to the players that basically making their school athletic programs a Fortune 500 company without paying taxes.

Good point about the tattoos. Regardless, stipends are coming and likely rendering schools like UALR to a lower division of athletics.
