MyBB MBB: Random Blogger's Preseason Predictions
Pulled this from the UALR board: http://dalydoseofhoops.blogspot.com/2013...-belt.html

Some of the UALR guys have pointed out inaccuracies. I, not being very familiar with intricacies of SBC basketball as of yet, do not have the knowledge to pick up on them. So your guy's thoughts on this guy's opinions?

RE: MBB: Random Blogger's Preseason Predictions
We just hauled in a host of athletes from transfer and the Juco ranks. We may struggle early, but once our two transfers are eligible in Dec. its over. Brandon, as much as I like him (player and person), might not even start by seasons end. 2 time defending tourney champs coming in 5th. That is beyond disrespectful.

Well...based on winning percentage that's a better standing than in the past two seasons...so perhaps it bodes well for WKU?

Considering WKU finished 5th or lower the last two years in the regular season? Not really.

considering that we have since fired, and hired a coach, and last season had an unprecedented number of injuries. Considering that despite having uncontrollable circumstances we still were able to win several key games and the tournament. Not to mention that we went up against some of the top teams in the nation and gave a better showing than any of you ever could. WKU wins the conference, end of story. we are better and deeper than we have been in years.

Cool story bro.

Just win your OoC games before you ravage everyone's RPI while winning those "several key games and the tournament." Thanks.

Last years results are very skewed due to a host of injuries, we lost half our team due to injuries at one time or another. With out those injuries I don't think we would have lost a game in conference play. We got healthy enough by seasons end but still was missing several players. If we finish 5th or lower.......I will become a MT fan05-ban

Well we won't have a pg until December and we have several solid teams on our schedule. So don't expect us to bring in too many name victories, but we will have the best rpi in the conference, don't worry about that.

Before we get our PG on the floor we will play 2 final four teams, 1 which is national champions ( Wichita State and Louisville ) and also play host to a very good southern miss team. It sucks that our hardest games will be during a period without a point guard. But it is what it is.

They should be good to go after final exams on the 13th for UL on the 14th. They will rush the grades to ensure it. Unfortunately that is a rivalry game on the road against a tough UL team.

Thanks for the opportunity to remind you guys and our other SBC mates that WKU IS basketball as far as the conference goes. My fellow Toppers have already give you the detail about our talent infusion. I will go one better than WKUHilltopperfan, if we don't win the conference AND the tourney.....I will become a Kentucky fan! And that WILL NOT happen. You won't have to wait too long to understand how the world operates.04-rock

in fairness...no we don't....well t.o.t. might but i bring it realer than real deal holyfield every year.

i don't blame a blogger for not knowing the massive changeover of our team while keeping 4 of the starters off our ncaa tourney team. i also know fully well that there'll be injuries this year too. but ray 'the best coach in the belt' has more weapons than since he's been here. i feel almost as confident as a ragin cajun fan coming off a football beating....pretty confident.

annnnnd....in fairness don't you guys claim brady is a final 4 coach every year?

No...That's Trey Finn. Most of us think Brady is an average coach who needs to start winning league titles if he wants to keep his job.

I'd take that bet.

you better do some research mr. microphone.

he's 2 for 2 on ncaa tourneys as head coach at d-1. his numbers in d-2 and naia are unparalleled. fact.

who you sayin' is better?
