BYU is good on offense, but you guys have some work to do on defense. Hoping for good halftime adjustments.

If you spy its too easy to call plays around it and the spying linebacker is susceptible to getting caught up by blocks on other defenders.

We're playing soft in pass coverage and not jamming the box with a bunch of defenders. I don't understand this gameplan.

I would put eight in the box press man on the outside and make Hill beat me over the top but that's just me. Maybe I'm dumb when it comes to football.

You switch the spy, you don't use the same guy every series or even every play in a series.

Our LB's and DB's have been delivering some brutal shots. Their QB is gonna eventually run into the bad end of a T.T. Barber hit.

The run while in the endzone instead of passing did it for me. No good OC makes that call. It has just gone down hill from there.

Ok. If you want. This will be my last point on it. What you've just stated doesn't really matter which guy you spy with unless you bring up a safety (and put 8 in the box) and then I'm on point with you. But in BYU's designed QB runs all seven defensive linemen and linebackers are accounted for meaning someone on offense is assigned to block them. If the spy is one of those seven he gets blocked unless he is able to get off of it.

The whole purpose of the spy is to have a free (i.e. unblocked) defender who is able to come up and make the tackle on the QB.

So unless you bring up a safety there isn't anyone available to spy unless it's a pass play.

This first drive will be huge, MT right back in it if can stop them, the rout "might" be on if they don't. Dang...that last drive sucked hehe.

Only exception to the above is the zone read but hell they haven't even run that much. They've basically been Tebowing us.

Don't call it a comeback but MTSU is about to make a co.... a reversal of who is in the lead!

MTSU was game till that last TD. Interesting to see how this finishes out.

Wow...despite the turnovers, MTSU is getting dominated.

BYU is not that good. Beat a clearly down Texas team but lost to Virginia (who lost by 50 to Oregon). Lost to Utah (who lost to Oregon St). They are mid-tier FBS program.

Too bad. I thought w/ the turnovers/gifts they would make a competitive game. They are really out-classed, out-talented, etc. Would be 56-10 if BYU did not give them the gifts..

ECU and Marshall fans should be breathing sigh of relief. MTSU not ready to compete in C-USA East.. Maybe next year..

Our play calling is way too vanilla and predictable. Where is the high powered offense promised to us under Faulkner? We do not seem to make adjustments at all. Just keep handing it off up the middle.......

Does Kilgore know how to throw without falling backwards every time? The few good passes he made last night were dropped. He seems to be regressing. I am not opposed to a change at QB. I do not care if he is a Senior or not.

Defense played with heart, just overmatched. Good lord what would the score have been if we had not had all the turnovers?

Good first quarter, after that, very painful to watch.
