Basketball team should loads better this year than the football team has shown so far.

I think it's too early for me to tell but put me down for the same.

The only part I had a hard time picking was the order of the last 4 in the west.... it's a toss up - wild west style, but I like your order. The season is still young though... anything can happen.

Just to be clear this is a prediction, I just forgot to do it preseason. It's not going to be a weekly poll or anything. Just to see how well the board can predict right now what the rankings will look like at the end of the season.

Maybe Ill look like a fool by season's end but Im drinking the kool-aid right now. UTSA's run defense may be the best in the conference, and I dont see a dominant passing team out West. Other than Marshall and Houston I think we match up well with everyone on our schedule.

Interesting note on these stats. Marshall is 5th in the nation in yards per attempt, best in the conference allowing less than 2.5 ypc.

8th aint too shabby considering the competition. The secondary is a weakness but run defense is probably the strongest area not just on defense but overall.

I think it's a real long shot, but wouldn't it be absolutely crazy in San Antonio if UTSA hosted the championship game? Talk about an incredible atmosphere for a championship game!
