and i like that aspect of the conference this year...no one team is unbeatable...some will surprise, others will disappoint, one may even shock...this sets up for exciting conference games because anything is possible...

This turns into 23 pages of ECU fans telling you how wrong you are in 3, 2, 1...

No one's a lock. That means... that more than likely, no team will go to a BCS game, which is a little disappointing. Hopefully, someone with a crap-easy schedule can pull it out... but I think to get back onto the national level that's what necessary.

Tulsa will rebound and finish 7-5 at worst on their way to a bowl game.

You're right, I see FIU as a lock to go 0fer.

In all seriousness I would say the vast majority of ECU fans here have been vocal about the fact that they believe Marshall and ECU are very even and that MTSU is going to be a tough game for us. Hell UAB and Tulane have given us all we want the last few years.

I don't speak for all ECU fans but I don't think we will be looking past anyone on our schedule except maybe FIU. That said I, and many ECU fans, feel we have the best or one of the 2 or 3 best teams in the conference this year. I just don't think if we win the conference we will look invincible in the process.

. . . the battle to be fully joined by marshall fans very shortly thereafter. the phrase "double OT" will be sprinkled generously throughout.

LT fans will arrive, and exhibit confusion as to which team to try to claim a rivalry with.

RE: Tulsa vs. Iowa St game thread
I have a question for any Tulsa or C-USA fan in the know here...Alex "A-Train" Singleton (wore #8), where is he now? I have a copy of this year's Conference USA Football Program and it has Singleton listed on Tulsa's roster as a returning player. But, in the 3 games I've seen TU on TV, he's nowhere to be seen? Is he playing on Sundays now? Quit the team? Dismissed? Thanks for the insight in advance.

"Triple".

And then UNT and UTSA fans will have a 17 page pud measuring contest over who had the prettier blowout loss to a BCS school.

No, UTSA fans will be too busy arguing with UTEP fans about hand signals and fight songs. UNT fans will be arguing among themselves about helmet stickers.

Even at 7-5, that means 6-2 in conference which probably wins the West.
