I would love to see y'all become respectable, but I just don't see how it right now.

Dude look at our history - we (F_U) has only been playing a short amount of time. However, both have claimed at least a bowl victory.

Thus, its just a matter of time.

USM was on top when Fedora was around, but have now fallen on hard times. So i guess they need to bounce as well.

Boy i hope you all do well in the AAC.

Glad you are leaving CUSA. Pompous as$ fans

Currently #21 in FCS's Top 25.
Has finished ranked every year since 2010.
2 NCAA tournament appearances in the past 4 years plus a CBI appearance.

What has Arkansas State done in that same timeframe?

Went 20-6 with two bowl appearances and a win over a top 25 school. Finished 2nd place in the Sun Belt in basketball , and made the SBC tourney final with a 2nd place league finish in baseball.

Oh, and we have a 40 point win in football over an FCS team ranked higher than Lehigh.

Thanks for asking

20-6 in the SUN BELT. That's FCS level right there...
2nd place in the SUN BELT.
2nd place in the SUN BELT.

Haha. If you are going to go off a rant this clueless, I wont even bother engaging in further discussion with you on this topic

By the way...Everton sucks.

Let me guess a fan of the Racists?

You must remember now that Cusa no longer exists other than just by name. It was diluted, watered down, backfilled with mickey mouse programs to the point it no longer matters who is admitted. Who cares? We are leaving asap. Some ask where we are going-the answer is independent if necessary. We could fill out a 9-10 team home schedule every year with teams as good as those now in the Cbelch leaving only 2-3 away games with power houses would like to bring us in to their house.

Who would you be referring to? An 0-4 Ark Pine Bluff who was never ranked? Or UCA who you defeated by 29? They were unranked when you played them. They did finish the season ranked 14th. However, Lehigh did finish that same season ranked 5th.....Carry on

And Lehigh plays in the freaking Patriot League...There isn't a team in FBS who wouldn't go undefeated in the Patriot League...except for maybe FIU and Georgia State.

UAB and lots of folks could go independent and get a solid schedule. Getting a solid schedule isn't the issue. However, the lack of a TV deal would be a significant issue for any smaller program trying to go independent. Plus the issue of finding a league to put your other sports that isn't going to those programs in an even worse league than CUSA.

CUSA isn't a bad league. In fact, I think we have the potential to do better over the long haul than the AAC.

Which is why going north is a good idea. More people up there than in New Mexico.

Well tell that to AAC member Temple. Last I heard, Patriot League Fordham defeated them this year.

If JMU is added, I would guess New Mexico State is added to the west to balance things out.

Or UTEP is on the way to the MWC with one of New Mexico State/Idaho/UTSA

That maybe possible for anyone in football but basketball, baseball, etc. is a different story for every school.

If thats the case (and I don't think its even close to being the case) then just have 2 separate conferences. Not sure about the advantages of having a SW/South conference and one on the eastern seaboard in the first place. Both "would be" conferences should be able to find enough schools for 14 teams in either region.

And truly, just where are UTEP, Marshall and USM going? UTEP's president has said several times she doesn't want to leave the Lone Star State and its burgeoning population to go mountain goat hunting in the MWC. Most of their alumnus base (and potential monies for their school coffers) are in Texas--not Wyoming.

CUSA/Big East/AAC/Etc, Etc, Etc... Throw all the schools from these 3 conferences in a fish bowl and take your pick because after all is said and done---we're still on the same G5 ship and on the same mezzanine level. Now if re-arranging a few deck chairs from time to time does it for you then so be it, but lest all have forgotten, none of the schools from any of the aforementioned 3 conferences sent a team to a BCS bowl last year; that honor went to the MAC and Northern Illinois who went to the Orange Bowl.

Still cannot remember seeing so many class-conscious social climbers as I see on this forum since my days of partying and rubbing shoulders with real, bonafide Texas movers and shakers at the Petroleum Club and Fort Worth Club in the ol' Davis Bldg, both in downtown Fort Worth.

GMG!

PS: BTW, a very nice stadium, JMU fans/alums. What is its capacity? 04-cheers

I thought that the Liberty Bowl had the tallest press box I'd ever seen. That one might be taller.

That does look like a nice stadium.

Currently just over 25k. Only the one side is 100% complete. If I remember correctly, it is expandable to 40k.
