Unfortunately, coaching is only part of the recipe for success. A poor coach can still win football games with good athletes. Rowing the boat (or having belief in the system) only works when players, fans and administrators buy into it. Unfortunately, I don't see P.J. righting the ship anytime soon.

Even after P.J. bolted from NIU faster than a guy on a blind date with a fat chick, I still hoped he would be successful. WMU has had some great teams in the past and I selfishly wanted them to be successful again. Home games are fun when we win, but boring if we demolish our opponents. Good match-ups make for good football games.

lets not forget WMU's overscheduling. Mich. St., Iowa and NU on the road is a very tall order.
