Most of Carolina's defensive coaches worked at Illinois before the came to Chapel Hill.

Yep, perfect add for UNC. A lot of ACC teams have perfect schedules going forward.

Still not happy with BC having the USC game next year, or UVA having both UCLA and BYU on the same schedule. Wish Syracuse hadn't just added Maryland, since they've got ND as well.

I don't like Virginia Tech's game against Ohio State, given the relative strengths of the programs right now, but I'm not sure when that was signed. Traditionally Virginia Tech is one of the four or so ACC teams that should be able to schedule a showcase matchup like that for the ACC, but I think it may be time for them to start rethinking that until they get their program back on track. In any event, it shouldn't be an every year thing, considering they opened with Bama this year.

But for the most part, the ACC OOC scheduling seems to be getting a little bit smarter than years past.

And Wisconsin and WVU. The WVU games to be played the same years as a Penn State and a Michigan game. There's still 3 open dates on our future schedule but since they correspond to years we play FSU and Clemson from the other division and playing at Notre Dame, those holes might be filled with a mid-major.

Could someone please forward the memo to the NC State scheduling office? With 8 conference games I'd like to see something like:
1 upper half FCS or lower half G5
1 upper half G5
1 upper half P5
1 ranked P5 team

I'd be happy with NCST if they could just drop the 2 FCS games a year. I haven't looked at Wolf pack future schedules but 2 FCS's have been frequent recently. 2 P5 is overkill. 1 top half of P5 is enough.

Currently NCSU has 5 non-conference games for next year, so they must drop one. Not a P5 in the bunch, either:

2014
08/30 - Georgia Southern (moving up to FBS)
09/13 - at USF (AAC)
TBA - at Central Michigan (MAC)
TBA - Old Dominion (recently FBS)
TBA - Presbyterian (FCS)

That looks great! NCST can win all of those. Picked a good year to play USF.

Great news -- looking forward to making the trip to Kenan to see that one.

I'm sure I'm not the only one on here who was at Kenan for the last visit by a B1G school -- Wisconsin -- and that was a great atmosphere and game (although the wrong school won).
