Those writing off WVU just yet are haters and premature. They are still in the Big 12 hunt.

I wasn't that concerned. Holgorsen has loaded the WVU bench with more talent than we've ever had before. It's just a matter of giving the young kids time to mold themselves into a team...

I wish he'd have tried Trickett earlier, like in the 2nd half against the Sooners. But Clint's only been on campus a couple of months, which isn't very long to learn the system or to be able communicate that knowledge on the field...

You could see he still has a ways to go in that respect. But he was a commanding presence on the field, with a good bit of moxie too. You could see the pain in his face with every throw after his injury. I just hope he can come back strong next week for the Baylor game...

If WVU can knock off Baylor, we're back in the middle of the Big XII race. We'll just need someone to take down the Sooners for us, since we weren't up to the task in week 2...

A few interesting stats from yesterday's game:

Jeremy Smith, OSU's leading rusher coming into the game, averaged 2.4 inches per carry. He had 15 carries for 1 yard...

OSU's completion percentage on offense was 42.5%, their lowest since the 2009 Colorado game (41.7%)...

Oklahoma State had 19 offensive possessions - and 3 scores - after scoring 136 points in their first 3 games...

The Mountaineers defense forced 10 punts and allowed just 3 drives to go over 6 plays...

Kip Smith's 10 punts were the 3rd most by an OSU kicker in a non-Bedlam game (22 vs. KU in 1923, 11 vs. ISU in 1986)

A couple of post game comments:

From sir broosk @celebrityhottub - West Virginia is winning with defense and LSU is playing it safe and kicking long field goals. WE ARE THROUGH THE DAMN LOOKING GLASS.

From Clint Trickett - "We just beat the No. 11 team in the nation and we didn't play our best game at all."

I forgot to mention that OSU came into the game 16 for 16 in the red zone, with 16 TDs...

They were 0 for the red zone against WVU...

Guess the Mountaineers hit Holgorsen with some Liquid Nitrogen to cool off his hot seat this week.

The young man has tremendous heart by playing through obvious pain. At one point, he appeared to be in so much pain that I thought he would be pulled from the gameā€¦..
