There is no reason for them to lose to Purdue, but then again, there was no reason for them to have nail biters against EIU and Idaho. Hopefully they can go 2-0 against the Big 10.

I guess as a CMU fan, you are an expert in bad defenses.

That's what I get for complimenting NIU? They have a terrible defense.....it's a fact. I want them to win. Sorry, I should've retooled my sentence:

NIU is the best team in the land. EIU and Idaho clearly got lucky and caught NIU napping. It's only a matter of time before they crash the BCS and take down Bama in the championship game.

You have the biggest case of p***s envy I have ever witnessed George, im sorry but you do.

Agreed, it's kinda sad. Maybe we should be nicer to him. He could be the board's pet CMU fan.

I predict in the game thread at least 3 people will say the season's over at some point, somebody will say the playcalling is the worst they've ever seen, MaddDawgz will swear he saw Lynch's arm fall off, and Chaz will get in a flame war with about a dozen posters.

As for the game result, should be close either way.

Well done well done...

RE: Purdue Predictions
Can we clean up the penalties? This is the key to the game this week. Purdue is by no means a powerhouse but we can not play the way we have the past two weeks on defense and with dumb penalties and expect to win... I think we can do it. NIU 34 Purdue 28

Sorry Ritz, it has been determined that predicting "Dogs" is simply not possible.

I believe it's a "mayan" thing....

RE: Purdue Predictions
honestly no clue, but I think the Huskies win, and it feels like by 10. I think the D wakes up and has a better game, 3 bad games in a row does not seem right. I think the O puts up at least 27.

I have a good feeling about it. The team always seems more pumped & ready to go against a Big Ten team.
Defense shows up. Lynch does his thing. NIU pulls it out.

RE: Purdue Predictions
23-22, NIU. Yes, last second FG wins it.
Since we expect the D to be bad, I say it surprises us and is pretty good, but special teams gives up a score.
Since we expect the O to be good, I say it's not. We run one back, score one TD on offense, and go something like 3-5 on FGs.
No prediction I've made so far has come even close to reality.

I see three penalties, but that's still very optimistic.

Ah, you're right...I was looking at # of first downs by Penalty.

Yeah...3 is still questionable.

RE: Purdue Predictions
I think with Purdue keying on Lynch, and him maybe still hurting from last week, he will start the game handing off and throwing more than running it himself. He will do a couple shoulder fakes to keep the D on their toes, but look for more carries from Stingily and Harris.

Late in the 2nd or maybe not until the 3rd quarter, Purdue will shift their attention to stopping Stingily and Harris, and then Lynch will show he's still got it and tear off a big run.

Defense will actually start the fight too.
